About Francis Miller
I
come to information products from two
angles. Firstly I'm an infoproduct
developer myself, with one product on
sale and others on the way.
When I wrote the Internal
Business Plan Manual, I used some
key iTransformation tools. In particular,
I wanted to provide a step-by-step process
which was easy to use.
And judging by the
testimonials I've
received, the Manual readers have found
it an easy-to-use process.
Secondly, I've consumed
many infoproducts to learn new skills
for my business. I've come across some
excellent ones, which you'll be reading
more about on this blog. And I've come
across some really poor ones as well.
The ones I find most frustrating
have great ideas but are structured so
poorly that it's very time-consuming
to extract the usable ideas from them.
Because of my experience
as both an infoproduct developer and
consumer, I wanted to set up this
website to talk about the importance
of producing effective learning materials
and to publicise the most effective resources
available that help to do this.
My experience
of a variety
of disciplines, including accountancy,
marketing and public relations, gives
me a broad business perspective.
I
have been writing for a long time
and articles of mine have appeared
in publications such as:
For
the past 8
years, I have been
a small business consultant and,
before that, my work experience
included:
doing
management consultancy work
for the Falkland Islands Government,
which taught me the importance
of processes and procedures
in getting work done
-
setting
up Mountain Books Ltd, a small
publishing company
-
fundraising
work for a cancer charity
-
strategy
development for businesses
and non-profit organisations.
I
graduated from Trinity College,
